Pug has 40 years experience in Government and Private Industry. He has recently just started his newest venture – Gutridge Group. Focus of this new company is providing responsible solutions to generational problems. From water, to energy, to building, to agriculture we leverage the latest technology to provide solutions in these areas that are more effective, more efficient, and more sustainable.
Prior to Gutridge Group he was Chairman of the Board of Cherokee Information Services, Inc. (CIS). CIS was established in 1990 to provide Information Technology Services to the Federal Government. Pug joined CIS in 1998 and served as VP for Business Development. He became President in 2001. Under him CIS grew from under $5M in annual revenue to a peak of nearly $60M expanding the portfolio from IT to include Logistics, Management, and Acquisition Services portfolios. For 5 years CIS was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States and was the 88th inductee into the Inc. 500 Hall of Fame.
Paul has 30 years of experience in the Private Sector. Recently joining Gutridge Group for their Responsible Solutions initiative. This initiative strives to provide realistic solutions for individuals, companies, and organizations for improved water, energy, building, and agricultural management.
Prior to joining the Responsible Solutions initiative with Pug, Paul studied Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Colorado. Cisco Networking Professional certification provided a full understanding of digital and analog communications. Fluency in digital methodologies led him to leading-edge work in Powerline Communications and initial field tests of Powerline modulation with Santee Cooper in South Carolina. Working at a Ski boot manufacturing facility in Boulder, Colorado, he learned about foam and plastic injection molding processes that required close attention to chemical blending requirements, and oversight of assembly personnel. At Storage Technology Corporation, Paul worked in their class 100 cleanroom fabricating thin film read/write heads for the company’s flagship product, the 8350 disk subsystem. Paul became conversant with Nickel and Gold Plating, Plasma and chemical etching, Wafer QA, and photo-chemical resist deposition, culminating in a fluent understanding of semiconductor theory and creation.
